"The most dramatic affect of Jean's treatments came with her work on a pulled muscle in my neck. I had previously experienced these pulled muscles, which always caused significant pain and stiffness, lasting as long as two weeks. I had resigned myself to anti-inflammatories, heating pads, and careful head and shoulder movements for at least the next week, and I would not have thought of seeking Jean's help for this, if I had not already been going for weekly treatments on my hip. As Jean worked on my neck muscle, I briefly felt a more intense pain in the area, as though my body were releasing the inflammation and rearranging itself back to a more normal state.
